NORWALK, Connecticut. —

PaperSeed Foundation Board Chair, Joe Hoffman (a local Norwalk 53-year old married father of 2) is walking a marathon to raise funds for charity and generate awareness around how COVID-19 has negatively impacted children. Joe has set a fundraising goal of $50,000, about half of which has already been raised. 100% of funds raised through the PaperSeed Foundation will be given to organizations in need of funds to feed and educate children affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

The PaperSeed Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening education for children and youth around the globe, is partnering with two local nonprofits to help address the urgent community needs brought on by the COVID-19 crisis: Filling in the Blanks, and The Open Door Shelter.

On Saturday, May 30th, Joe will embark from his home in the Cranbury section of Norwalk at 6am and speed-walk two loops around town. Community members are encouraged to come out and cheer Joe on, make a sign to put in their window or on their lawn to raise awareness around childhood hunger, donate funds to this worthy cause, and make a healthy lifestyle part of their weekend plans.

You can find more information about the marathon (including Joe’s planned route around Norwalk) and make a donation at: www.mightycause.com/story/Twofeetheavyhearts.
